Itinerary

Day 1: Manail – Banjar (100 K/M 3 Hrs)

Meet and greet in Manali, post which Introduction, Registration & briefing will be done by our crew. The convoy will leave for Banjar which is about 100 km from Manali. Hotel check-in at Banjar and after that you have the rest of the day to yourselves. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Banjar - Baga Sarahan (140 K/M 6 Hrs)

After an early breakfast the convoy will leave for a small place in Himachal called Baga Sarahan (approx. 6 hrs of riding from Banjar). After reaching Baga Sarahan, we will check-in at the hotel, followed by dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 3: Baga Sarahan - Kalpa (155 K/M 6Hrs)

After a peaceful stay in Baga Sarahan, the convoy will leave after having breakfast for Kalpa. On Day 3, will be going to see some mind-blowing places like Jhakri, Wangtu & Tapri while going to Kalpa. The convoy will reach by evening and will do check-in followed by dinner.

Day 4: Kalpa – Chitkul - Sangla (150 K/M 4 Hrs)

After an early breakfast we will leave for Chitkul which is the last Inhabited Indian village Indo-china border in the Sangla valley. After visiting Chitkul we will come back to Sangla by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 5: Sangla – Kaza (240 K/M 7 Hrs)

Our fifth day sees us enter the Spiti Valley, a cold desert mountain valley. "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e., the land between Tibet and India. We visit the oldest Buddhist monastery in India, the Tabo Monastery. It is known for numerous frescoes that adorn its walls which depict tales from the Buddhist pantheon. We resume our journey and reach Kaza in the late evening.

Day 6: Kaza – Kibber – Chicham – Kaza (80 K/M 3Hrs)

Kaza is situated along the Spiti river at an elevation of 3,650 metres. Kaza is overlooked by mountain ridges on all sides. Today is a rest day and we will explore the attractions in and around Kaza which are Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest bridge), Hikkim Village (highest post office in the world), Komic Village (Highest inhabited village in the world) and the famous Key monastery.

Day 7: Kaza – Dhankar – Kaza (70 K/M 3 Hrs)

After Breakfast we will be going to high village which used to be the capital of the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh is known as Dhankar, it is at an altitude of 3,894 meters. After spending time in Dhankar we will come back to Kaza. Dinner & overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 8:  Kaza

Day 8 is a rest day after riding for 7 long days. Dinner & Bonfire in Kaza. Overnight stay in hotel. It is a complete say at leisure as the next day is going to be hectic.

Day 9: Kaza – Chandrataal (100 K/M 4 Hrs)

After an early breakfast, we will be driving about 100km to reach Chandrataal through Losar. As soon as we start moving away from Kaza the terrain changes and the paved roads disappear and we start driving on the dry river bed. While going to Chandrataal we will be taking stop at the famous Kunzum Pass. After reaching Chandrataal we check-in at the hotel followed by bonfire & dinner. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 10: Chandrataal – Manali (120 K/M 4 Hrs)

After Breakfast the convoy will drive to Manali which is 120km. The stretch from Chandrataal to Manali is very scenic but goes through a dry river bed and the road is treacherous which makes the saying true “Bad Road leads to beautiful places”. We will reach Manali in the evening through Atul Tunnel.

Terms and Conditions

1. We invite participants from all around the country. We encourage the participants with bikes only. Motorbike Ladakh is a self-drive expedition & is not aimed at providing a taxi or a car with driver. Extremely exceptional cases will be treated with special considerations & will entail extra costs over & above the price specified in this document.

2. All ‘driving’ participants must have a valid Indian driving license or an international driving license valid in India. We may at our discretion accept or reject any application.

3. There will be no refund for any service unveiled.

4. Any Bike can be used for participation. The vehicle must be in good condition mechanically. The condition of the brakes, tires, battery, clutch plates must be in reasonably good condition. The vehicle must have all the required documents that prove it can be legally driven on Indian roads and all permits should be in place. If the owner of the vehicle is not a participant, a letter of authority for use of the vehicle needs to be provided.

5. Safekeeping of the participants’ vehicle, belongings or any personal items would be the sole responsibility of the participant.

6. Vehicle mileage and fueling needs of the vehicle should be taken care by the participant, as extra fuel would not be carried by our team.

7. Our company would not be held responsible for any changes to the itinerary, amendments or exclusions to the expedition plan and will not-= be liable for any costs or claims arising from the same, if the changes or exclusions have been the direct or indirect result of a natural disasters, accidents, severe weather changes, or govt or military actions. Our crew will go the extra mile in accommodating any such event, to ensure minimum impact to our clients. And as far as reasonably possible, we will look to partially refund in case the expedition is cut short because of such reasons, in the number of activities or the number of days as outlined in this document.

8. The recovery vehicle & the car mechanic support is provided as part of the expedition. Not included in this service, are any costs attributable to vehicle repair which is carried out anywhere else than the place of breakdown, or which cannot be reasonably carried out by our recovery vehicle & mechanic at the time/place of breakdown. For eg. if there is a major incident like the axle breaks. If the mechanic is not able to repair the vehicle, then it will have to be sent to the nearest workshop. Spare parts cost is also not included.

9. The medical equipment’s & personnel support is provided as part of the expedition. Not included in this service are any costs attributable to treatment of sickness/ill-health, which cannot be reasonably treated by our expedition medical professional or using our expedition medical supplies, or which is carried out anywhere else than place of occurrence of ill-health or sickness. Our crew team will go beyond their contractual obligation & will aim to provide extended assistance in taking care of the participant’s vehicle & transporting the participant to a safe place where the participant will get good medical help. Cost arising of such incidents would have to be borne by the participants, with WA having no liability

10. Limitation of Liability: These terms and conditions govern the relation between you, the participant and WA (Wanderers Adventure). You will be bound by these terms and conditions upon joining this expedition. WA responsibility would be limited because of the fact that we liaise with 3rd parties such as hotels, adventure sports companies and other such companies for various arrangements for this expedition.
